BYD Battery, Motor and Electronic Parts Prices in UAE: What EV Owners Should Expect
September 30, 2026
The frightening number on a BYD repair quotation is often not the one you think it will be.
A battery pack sounds expensive, obviously. A drive motor sounds expensive too. But an electronic control unit, charging module, headlamp assembly or camera can quietly turn a relatively ordinary repair into a four-figure bill — and sometimes the part itself is only half the story.
That is the awkward bit about modern EV ownership. The car may have fewer traditional mechanical components, but more of its functions are concentrated into integrated electrical systems. BYD's own e-Platform 3.0 brings the battery, power electronics, motor, software and vehicle structure into a tightly integrated architecture, while its 8-in-1 powertrain combines the VCU, BMS, MCU, PDU, DC-DC controller, onboard charger, drive motor and transmission.
So when a UAE owner asks, “How much is a battery, motor or electronic BYD spare parts in UAE?”, there is no sensible single answer.
The useful answer is to separate the component, the diagnosis, the warranty position and the installed repair cost.
The price references in this article were checked against UAE sources in September 2026. Public listings are market observations, not fixed BYD tariffs, and some online listings are too poorly specified to be treated as reliable prices for major EV components.
The Three BYD Parts That Need the Most Careful Price Checking
For the Atto 3, Seal, Han and Sealion 7, the biggest financial questions generally sit around:
- high-voltage battery systems;
- electric drive motors and integrated drive units;
- electronic and charging components.
These are not interchangeable categories.
A battery fault can involve the battery pack, BMS, wiring, cooling or charging system. A motor complaint can involve the motor, inverter or control electronics. An electronic warning can originate from a sensor, wiring fault or software issue rather than the expensive module being blamed.
That distinction is where the money is saved.
BYD's UAE Warranty Changes the Battery Conversation
BYD UAE currently states that the high-voltage battery and drive unit are covered for eight years or 200,000 km, whichever comes first, with battery capacity covered at 70% or above under the stated warranty terms.
That matters enormously.
Before anyone quotes you for a replacement battery, establish whether the vehicle and fault remain within the applicable warranty conditions.
Paying for a large HV component first and asking questions about warranty afterwards is the wrong order.
There Is No Reliable Public UAE BYD Battery Price List
This is worth stating plainly because the internet is full of apparently precise numbers.
There is no reliable public UAE price list covering every BYD high-voltage battery pack by model, capacity, production year and specification.
Some online sellers display very low “BYD battery” prices. One UAE-facing listing for a Seal EV battery, for example, currently displays AED 314–675. That should not be interpreted as a credible UAE price for a complete high-voltage Blade Battery pack; the listing does not establish the pack specification or demonstrate that the advertised figure represents a complete replacement battery.
In other words: a price can be technically real and commercially useless at the same time.
A Full EV Battery Is a Different Financial Category
A UAE EV inspection specialist currently gives a broad AED 22,000–65,000 range for full EV battery-pack replacement across the market, with individual battery modules estimated at AED 6,000–12,000. Those figures are general UAE EV market estimates, not BYD-specific quotations.
That distinction should stay attached to the numbers.
A BYD owner should not read AED 22,000–65,000 as “the BYD battery price”. It is a useful indication of the financial scale of major EV battery work when no model-specific public quotation is available.
Battery Capacity Alone Does Not Determine Replacement Cost
A larger kWh figure does not provide enough information to price a replacement pack.
The quotation may depend on:
- complete pack versus module;
- new versus repaired/reconditioned;
- exact vehicle specification;
- battery generation;
- availability;
- warranty;
- shipping;
- installation;
- diagnostic work;
- high-voltage isolation procedures;
- post-installation testing.
That is why “60 kWh battery price” is a poor search query for an actual repair.
Atto 3 Battery Costs Need the Exact Battery Version
The UAE Atto 3 has been sold with Blade Battery configurations, and current published UAE information identifies a 60.5 kWh version in the model range.
BYD's own Atto 3 information also confirms the Blade Battery, e-Platform 3.0 and 8-in-1 electric powertrain.
So a quotation should identify the actual battery application rather than simply saying:
“Atto 3 battery — AED X.”
The model name is not enough.
The Atto 3 Motor Is Not Just “An Electric Motor”
The UAE Atto 3 specification uses a single front electric motor, with BYD's published specification giving around 200 hp and 310 Nm for the model.
The drive system is integrated into BYD's wider electric powertrain architecture.
If a motor fault is suspected, the workshop should establish whether the problem is actually within the motor itself or elsewhere in the drive unit and power electronics.
That distinction can change the repair route completely.
Seal Parts Become More Variant-Sensitive
The Seal is an even better example of why model names are inadequate.
BYD's UAE information describes the Seal as a fully electric sedan using Blade Battery and CTB technology. Its higher-performance configuration uses dual motors and can produce a combined 390 kW, while DC charging can reach 150 kW under suitable conditions.
A motor or inverter quotation therefore needs to identify the drivetrain.
Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are not interchangeable shopping categories.
Seal Battery Replacement Is Particularly Sensitive
The Seal's cell-to-body architecture integrates the Blade Battery into the vehicle structure. BYD says the battery forms part of the structural arrangement and contributes to torsional rigidity.
That makes battery work fundamentally different from changing a conventional 12V battery.
If the quotation says “battery replacement”, ask:
Which battery component? Complete pack? Module? BMS-related repair? Cooling system? Connector or harness?
Until that is clear, the price tells you very little.
The Han Sits Further Up the Electronic Complexity Curve

The BYD Han is positioned as a premium electric sedan in the UAE and uses the Blade Battery, dual-motor all-wheel-drive technology and extensive electronic equipment. BYD's UAE material gives the Han up to around 509 hp depending on specification.
That means an electronic repair on a Han should not be compared directly with an Atto 3 simply because both carry the BYD badge.
There is more hardware involved.
Han Battery Quotes Need a Warranty Check First
BYD UAE currently continues to list the Han as part of its UAE electric range, while its after-sales warranty provides the eight-year/200,000 km HV battery and drive-unit coverage described above.
For a relatively recent Han, therefore, the first financial question is often not:
“Can I find a cheaper battery?”
It is:
“Is this actually a customer-paid battery repair?”
Sealion 7 Has Two Motor Configurations
The Sealion 7 makes this issue particularly obvious.
BYD's published specification lists a rear-drive Premium configuration with a 230 kW rear permanent-magnet synchronous motor, while the Performance version adds a 160 kW front induction motor for a combined 390 kW.
The UAE model information identifies the Performance version at up to 523 hp.
So “Sealion 7 motor” is not sufficiently precise for a quotation.
A Sealion 7 Motor Replacement Could Mean Very Different Things
A rear drive unit is not the same purchasing problem as a front motor assembly on the AWD Performance version.
The supplier should identify:
- front or rear;
- RWD or AWD;
- model year;
- exact variant;
- motor application;
- part number where available;
- whether inverter/control electronics are included.
Without that, two quotations can look wildly different while actually referring to different assemblies.
What a Motor Price Should Include
When comparing motor quotations, establish whether the advertised price covers:
- electric motor;
- reduction gear/transmission assembly;
- inverter/MCU;
- seals;
- coolant-related components;
- installation;
- programming;
- diagnostic reset;
- road testing;
- warranty.
A “motor” listing may describe only one part of the drive unit.
UAE Public Listings for Motors Are Still Thin
Current UAE online parts catalogues contain BYD EV listings, but public pricing for complete model-specific drive motors is much less transparent than pricing for conventional service parts.
That is useful information in itself.
It means an article claiming a neat universal AED price for an Atto 3, Seal, Han or Sealion 7 motor would be giving the appearance of precision without sufficient evidence.
For major EV components, a quotation is often more meaningful than a generic online price.
Electronic Parts Are Where Smaller Numbers Become Dangerous
A headlamp, camera, radar bracket, charging module or control unit may not sound like a major drivetrain component.
But these parts can carry electronics that have to communicate with the vehicle.
A current public UAE-facing listing for a BYD Seal EV headlight shows approximately AED 529–813. The seller does not establish a complete UAE installed repair price, so this is best treated as a public component listing rather than a universal market rate.
And then comes the awkward question: does the replacement need configuration or calibration?
The Headlamp May Not Be the End of the Bill
Modern BYD lighting can sit within a wider electronic vehicle network.
The actual repair may therefore involve:
lamp + installation + configuration + diagnostic verification
rather than simply:
lamp = price on website
This becomes more important where lighting, cameras and driver-assistance functions share the same physical area.
BYD's Electronic Parts List Is Bigger Than Most Owners Expect
The relevant components can include:
- vehicle control units;
- battery-management electronics;
- motor-control electronics;
- power-distribution components;
- DC-DC converters;
- onboard chargers;
- charging ports;
- cameras;
- radar-related hardware;
- infotainment modules;
- displays;
- climate-control electronics;
- electronic fans;
- sensors;
- wiring and connectors.
BYD's own description of the 8-in-1 powertrain confirms how many major functions are integrated into the electric architecture.
The Onboard Charger Is a Major Repair Item
A failed onboard charger can prevent or restrict AC charging even when the high-voltage battery itself is healthy.
A UAE EV inspection guide currently estimates AED 6,000–18,000 for onboard-charger replacement across the wider EV market. Again, this is not a BYD-specific price; it is a market benchmark showing the financial scale of the component.
A proper BYD quotation should identify the exact charger application before that range is used for budgeting.
The Charging Port Has Its Own Warranty Category
BYD UAE currently lists the AC/DC charging port under a three-year or 60,000 km limited warranty category.
That is important because owners sometimes treat every charging problem as a battery problem.
A car that refuses to charge could have an issue with the port, charger, communication, cable, electrical supply, software or battery system.
The battery should not be condemned by assumption.
DC-DC Converter Problems Can Look Like Other Electrical Faults

The DC-DC system manages high-voltage electrical energy for the vehicle's low-voltage electrical network.
If the low-voltage system is unstable, warning messages appear or the auxiliary battery repeatedly becomes depleted, the workshop should investigate the charging system rather than automatically replacing the 12V battery.
This is precisely where diagnostic evidence earns its keep.
The 12V Battery Is Still the Cheap Part — Usually
BYD UAE gives the 12V battery a six-year/150,000 km warranty, except for the Atto 3, where the stated 12V coverage is one year/20,000 km.
A UAE EV inspection source places generic 12V replacement around AED 350–900 across the wider EV market.
That is nowhere near a high-voltage battery price.
Confusing the two is an expensive misunderstanding.
The BMS Is Not Something to Replace Because a Code Appeared
The battery-management system is central to monitoring and controlling the high-voltage battery.
But a BMS-related diagnostic code does not automatically prove that the entire BMS hardware needs replacing.
The workshop should examine:
- stored DTCs;
- cell readings;
- voltage differences;
- insulation/isolation data where applicable;
- temperature data;
- charging behaviour;
- connector condition;
- wiring;
- software status.
The exact diagnostic procedure should follow the appropriate BYD service information and equipment.
Battery State of Health Matters More Than a Seller's Range Estimate
For a used BYD, displayed driving range is not the same thing as battery health.
An EV inspection guide recommends checking battery state of health, charging behaviour and diagnostic data rather than relying only on a road test.
That is particularly relevant in the UAE's used-EV market, where a buyer can be looking at a car that appears perfectly normal while the battery condition remains unknown.
A Battery Module Is Not the Same as a Battery Pack
This distinction should appear on every serious quotation.
Pack: the complete high-voltage battery assembly.
Module: one serviceable section within the battery architecture, where supported.
BMS: battery-management electronics.
Cooling system: thermal-management hardware serving the battery.
Harness/connectors: electrical interconnections.
A quotation that says simply “battery” has not told you enough.
BYD's Blade Battery Is an LFP System
BYD identifies its Blade Battery as using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. The UAE manufacturer material describes the Blade Battery across BYD's electric range, including Han, Seal and Atto 3.
That is relevant to the technical discussion, but it does not eliminate the need for model-specific diagnosis.
Battery chemistry does not tell you the price of the repair.
Heat Does Not Mean “Replace the Battery”
The UAE is hard on thermal-management systems.
But an EV battery operating in hot conditions is not automatically a failed battery.
BYD says its vehicles have undergone GCC hot-weather testing and reports more than one million kilometres of UAE summer testing in its published UAE material.
If an owner experiences charging limitations, reduced range or temperature-related warnings, the correct response is diagnosis of the thermal and electrical systems — not an assumption that the Blade Battery has reached the end of its life.
A/C and Battery Thermal Management Can Intersect
This is one of the less obvious EV repair relationships.
BYD uses heat-pump systems on several models, including the Atto 3, Seal and Sealion 7. The system can use heat from the powertrain, passenger compartment and battery environment as part of thermal management.
So a cooling-related quotation needs to establish which circuit or component has actually failed.
“Cooling problem” is not a parts diagnosis.
Electronic Cooling Fans Can Be Ordinary-Looking but Important
Current UAE BYD parts inventories show components such as Atto 3 motor radiator assemblies and electronic fan assemblies.
That is a useful reminder that EV thermal systems contain ordinary-looking mechanical and electrical components alongside the major battery and motor assemblies.
Sometimes the expensive system has a relatively modest failed component.
Don't Buy an Inverter From a Generic EV Listing Without Checking Fitment
An inverter/MCU is closely tied to the vehicle's powertrain architecture.
A generic listing saying “BYD inverter” is not enough.
Check:
- model;
- year;
- drivetrain;
- motor type;
- part number;
- software compatibility;
- donor vehicle;
- condition;
- warranty;
- programming requirements.
The right box is more important than the right-looking photograph.
Electronic Parts Need a Different Kind of Price Comparison

For a mechanical part, you can often compare:
genuine vs aftermarket vs used.
For an electronic module, you may instead need to compare:
new genuine vs tested used genuine vs repaired/reconditioned vs compatible aftermarket, while also checking programming and warranty.
A cheaper module can become the more expensive option if it cannot be coded or communicates incorrectly with the vehicle.
Used Electronic Parts Need Donor Information
A used BYD electronic component should ideally come with:
- donor model;
- model year;
- drivetrain;
- donor mileage where available;
- reason for dismantling;
- accident history;
- test status;
- part number;
- warranty;
- return terms.
“Removed from a running car” is useful evidence.
It is not the same as a tested component with documented compatibility.
Water and Accident Damage Deserve Extra Suspicion
Electronic components removed from flood-damaged or heavily crashed vehicles can present problems that are not visible at purchase.
Look for:
- corrosion;
- water marks;
- damaged connectors;
- distorted housings;
- repaired terminals;
- missing seals;
- evidence of impact.
This matters particularly for modules mounted low in the vehicle.
Charging Components Deserve a Separate Warranty Check
BYD UAE lists the AC/DC charging port under the three-year/60,000 km category, while the high-voltage battery and drive unit have substantially longer coverage.
That difference tells you something important: not every expensive-looking EV component has the same warranty period.
Always identify the actual failed component before assuming the battery warranty covers it.
Infotainment Is Expensive in a Different Way
A frozen display may feel like an electronic hardware failure.
It may not be.
The workshop should establish whether the issue is:
- software;
- communication;
- power supply;
- display hardware;
- control module;
- wiring;
- user-interface system.
BYD UAE currently places the multimedia system within its three-year/60,000 km other-parts warranty category.
Cameras and ADAS Components Can Add Calibration Costs
The Atto 3, Seal, Han and Sealion 7 all contain substantial driver-assistance equipment. The current Atto 3 specification includes cameras and assistance functions, while the Sealion 7 has an extensive electronic assistance suite.
After an accident, replacing the physical component may not be the final step.
Calibration, diagnostic configuration and road testing can matter.
The Cost of an Electronic Part Is Not the Cost of the Repair
A useful quotation should separate:
PART PRICE
from
INSTALLED REPAIR COST
The second figure may include:
- diagnosis;
- removal;
- installation;
- programming;
- coding;
- calibration;
- consumables;
- testing;
- VAT;
- delivery.
This distinction becomes critical when comparing dealer, independent and used-component quotations.
A UAE EV Repair Benchmark
A current UAE EV inspection source gives the following broad market estimates:
| Component | Wider UAE EV market estimate | BYD-specific? |
| Complete HV battery pack | AED 22,000–65,000 | No |
| Individual battery module | AED 6,000–12,000 | No |
| Onboard charger | AED 6,000–18,000 | No |
| Charging port | AED 1,500–4,500 | No |
| Battery cooling pump | AED 2,500–5,000 | No |
| Drive unit, motor + inverter | AED 12,000–30,000 | No |
| 12V auxiliary battery | AED 350–900 | No |
These are useful UAE EV market benchmarks only, not quotations for an Atto 3, Seal, Han or Sealion 7.
That distinction should remain visible whenever these figures are used.
Some BYD Electronic Listings Are Easier to Verify
Public UAE inventories show identifiable BYD part numbers for components such as Atto 3 headlights, taillights, motor-radiator assemblies, electronic fans, brake components and body parts.
This is much stronger buying evidence than a generic listing saying “BYD headlight”.
For expensive components, the part number is often where the comparison should begin.
A Part Number Can Tell You More Than a Price
Suppose one supplier offers an electronic component for AED 1,000 and another for AED 1,350.
The price difference is meaningless until you establish that both suppliers are quoting the same application.
Check:
part number → model → year → drivetrain → side/location → specification → condition → warranty
Only then compare the money.
The Four Models Need Different Repair Thinking
| Model | Main component-price concern |
| Atto 3 | Single-motor architecture, Blade Battery, electronics and charging hardware |
| Seal | CTB battery integration, RWD/AWD differences, dual-motor Performance hardware |
| Han | Premium electronics, dual-motor system, battery and ADAS complexity |
| Sealion 7 | RWD/AWD motor differences, newer architecture, advanced electronics and thermal systems |
The point is not that one model is automatically expensive.
The point is that the failure and fitment questions are different.
Sealion 7 Parts Need Particular Variant Verification
The UAE Sealion 7 range includes Premium and Performance versions, with the Performance model using dual motors and AWD.
If a supplier says “Sealion 7 motor”, ask immediately:
front or rear?
For the Performance model, there are two traction motors.
That one question can prevent an expensive ordering mistake.
The Same Logic Applies to the Seal
BYD's UAE Seal information confirms different performance configurations, including a dual-motor version.
So a motor, inverter or associated power-electronics quotation should identify the drivetrain.
A seller who cannot tell you what version the component fits has not given you enough information to make a high-value purchase.
What a Workshop Should Test Before Condemning the Battery
For a suspected HV battery problem, the diagnostic process should establish, as appropriate:
- diagnostic trouble codes;
- battery state of health;
- cell voltage spread;
- temperature readings;
- insulation/isolation status;
- charging behaviour;
- battery-management data;
- cooling-system operation;
- relevant wiring and connectors;
- accident or water-damage evidence;
- software status.
The precise test sequence depends on the fault.
But “the scanner says battery” is not a sufficient explanation for a five-figure repair.
What a Workshop Should Test Before Condemning the Motor
A motor complaint should be investigated alongside the inverter/control system.
The workshop may need to examine:
- DTCs;
- motor-control data;
- phase-related faults;
- insulation/isolation readings;
- cooling;
- wiring/connectors;
- mechanical noise;
- drive-unit behaviour;
- high-voltage system status;
- software/configuration.
The motor should be proved faulty before the motor becomes the quotation.
What a Charging Fault Should Trigger

If a BYD refuses to charge, the workshop should establish whether the fault originates from:
vehicle charging port → onboard charger → high-voltage system → battery/BMS → communication → cable/connector → external charging equipment.
Replacing the battery first would be an extraordinary way to diagnose a charging fault.
Yet that is effectively what happens when symptoms are treated as diagnoses.
Genuine Parts Are Not Automatically the Cheapest Repair
BYD UAE says genuine parts are available through its service network and promotes genuine components as part of its after-sales support.
For high-voltage, safety-critical and electronically integrated components, the genuine route can provide clearer compatibility and warranty support.
But the sensible comparison is not “genuine versus cheap”.
It is:
genuine installed cost versus tested alternative installed cost, including warranty and risk.
When a Used BYD Electronic Part Can Make Sense
A tested used module can sometimes be commercially attractive, particularly for an older vehicle outside warranty.
But the supplier should be able to explain:
- where it came from;
- which vehicle it came from;
- whether it was tested;
- whether the part number matches;
- whether coding is required;
- what warranty applies;
- what happens if it fails after installation.
The cheapest module is rarely the interesting number.
The interesting number is the cost if it fails twice.
Before You Buy a Battery, Motor or Electronic Module
Get these details in writing:
VIN
Exact model year
Variant and drivetrain
Part number
New, used, reconditioned or aftermarket
Test status
Warranty
Return conditions
Programming/coding requirements
Labour
VAT
Post-installation testing
If the supplier cannot answer several of those questions, the price is premature.
Use PartFinder UAE as Part of the Wider Sourcing Check
For owners comparing available replacement routes, PartFinder UAE can form part of the wider UAE parts search once the exact vehicle and component have been identified.
The important sequence remains the same: identify first, compare second.
Searching for “BYD battery” and then choosing the cheapest result is not a sourcing strategy. It is a gamble.
UAE Heat Makes Thermal-System Diagnosis More Important
The UAE's climate adds another layer to EV ownership.
Battery thermal management, charging equipment, A/C, power electronics and cooling systems can all matter during prolonged hot-weather operation.
BYD says its vehicles have undergone GCC hot-weather testing, including extensive UAE summer testing.
That is manufacturer evidence about testing, not proof that an individual component cannot fail in UAE conditions.
The distinction matters.
Dubai Summer Range Is Not Battery Health
Range can fall because of:
- A/C demand;
- speed;
- traffic;
- tyre pressure;
- driving style;
- temperature;
- battery state;
- route conditions.
So a driver seeing a lower range estimate in August should not immediately interpret it as proof of battery degradation.
A proper battery-health assessment is a different exercise.
Imported BYD Electronics Need Extra Scrutiny
A grey-import or Chinese-spec BYD can have different equipment, software, charging hardware or regional specifications.
That does not automatically make the car problematic.
It does mean the supplier should verify the exact vehicle specification.
A component that fits a GCC-specification vehicle may not be correct for a Chinese-market equivalent — even when the badge and model name are identical.
Repair or Replace the Electronic Component?
| Option | Usually worth considering when | Main issue |
| New genuine | Warranty, safety or high-voltage component | Higher upfront cost |
| Tested used genuine | Older vehicle, verified donor | Unknown remaining life |
| Reconditioned | Specialist repairable module | Rebuilder quality |
| Aftermarket | Proven conventional electronic component | Compatibility |
| Repair existing unit | Specialist diagnosis identifies repairable fault | Repair quality and warranty |
There is no universal winner.
The component, fault and vehicle age determine the sensible comparison.
The Cost of Getting the Battery Diagnosis Wrong
A false battery diagnosis is particularly painful.
You could spend tens of thousands of dirhams replacing a major component when the real fault lies in:
- charging hardware;
- cooling;
- wiring;
- BMS-related electronics;
- connectors;
- software;
- a smaller battery component.
That is why diagnostic spending can be financially sensible before major EV parts spending.
The Cost of Getting the Motor Diagnosis Wrong
The same logic applies to drive motors.
A vibration, power reduction or drivetrain warning does not automatically mean the motor itself has failed.
If the inverter, control electronics, cooling system or wiring is responsible, a motor replacement does not solve the underlying problem.
You have then paid for two repairs.
What Current UAE Evidence Actually Supports
As of September 2026, the strongest evidence available publicly supports these points:
- BYD UAE provides an eight-year/200,000 km HV battery and drive-unit warranty under stated conditions.
- BYD's UAE after-sales information separately covers other electronic and electrical components for shorter periods.
- BYD's Atto 3, Seal, Han and Sealion 7 use Blade Battery technology.
- Seal and Sealion 7 have drivetrain differences that materially affect motor and powertrain fitment.
- UAE public listings exist for BYD electronic, lighting and other components, but public pricing for complete high-voltage batteries and drive units is far less transparent.
- Broader UAE EV repair estimates provide useful context, but they should not be presented as BYD-specific prices.
What We Could Not Reliably Verify
There is no sufficiently strong public UAE evidence to publish one fixed price for:
- a complete Atto 3 Blade Battery;
- a complete Seal Blade Battery;
- a complete Han Blade Battery;
- a complete Sealion 7 battery;
- every BYD traction motor;
- every inverter/MCU;
- every BMS;
- every onboard charger.
That is not a weakness in the article.
It is the correct answer to a market where major EV components are often quoted individually and where online catalogues do not consistently identify the actual assembly, specification or warranty.
A Better UAE Price Framework
When you receive a quotation, split it into four numbers:
Component: what the part itself costs.
Diagnosis: what it costs to establish the fault.
Installation: labour, removal and refitting.
Programming/testing: coding, calibration, high-voltage procedures and final verification.
Then add VAT and delivery where applicable.
That gives you something comparable.
A single AED figure on WhatsApp does not.
The Practical BYD Rule
For the Atto 3, Seal, Han and Sealion 7, the expensive parts deserve a different buying mentality.
Do not price the battery before proving the battery fault.
Do not price the motor before proving the drive-unit fault.
Do not price the electronic module before confirming the part number and vehicle specification.
Do not compare part prices without comparing warranty, programming, labour and return terms.
And before paying for a major component, check the BYD UAE warranty position. The current official terms provide substantial coverage for the high-voltage battery and drive unit, while other electronic components carry separate, shorter coverage periods.
That is the real UAE EV parts lesson. The frightening number is sometimes unavoidable. But quite often, the first job is finding out whether that frightening number belongs on your repair bill at all.
UAE Update Reference: September 2026: BYD's UAE model range, warranty terms, parts availability and public pricing should be rechecked when this article is materially updated, particularly as newer BYD EVs and additional variants enter the UAE market.
